My little boy has been showing signs of music inclination. This started when he turned 2 and would stop his playtime whenever I played classical and rock music. Then as he was growing up, he would asks me and his dad what the different musical instruments are. Of course, we just had to explain the basic ones as we do not know those technical and specialized musical instruments such as epiphone sg guitar etc... I just wonder if 6 years old would be the right time to enroll him in a formal music class.

I am itching to come home already because the weather is just so inviting. Maybe, I could do a few minutes of running in the park instead of my usual treadmill routine. But then again, I have to research about this paperless office software my boss asked me to check and of course some filing as soon as I get home. I need to archive our bills in 2011. Because I have been very productive today, I was able to finish most of my work tasks an hour after lunch. Now, I am just waiting for the time to hit 4:30 and I'm off to home sweet home. Photobooks Project in 2012

I seriously need to focus on my goal list in 2012. I listed about 11 goals this year and only 5 were accomplished. While more than half were not met, I am still happy about the 5 achievements. One of the things I want to include in my 2012 goals is to be able to come up with photobooks for all of DS' 6 years of life. These keepsakes for babies reminded me so much how much years have passed already and I needed to catch up with my photobooks projects.

Last night, I had the chance to go over my 2011 goals and sadly, I have only accomplished 1/3 of my goals. I guess next year, I would have to slim down my goals list and also include only realistic goals. One of the goals that I missed out on doing is to finish all of my digiscrapping projects as well as edit DS' videos and eventually make cd duplication to be given to his grandparents. Well, there is always next year and I hope with my new Macbook, I will be able to work on my photobooks faster than I did this year.

I am one of those women who were lucky to grab a huge amount of free gift cards from the ongoing Victoria's Secret Reward Card promo. I shopped last Black friday and got 1-$100 and 3-$10s reward cards. In total, I got a whopping amount of $160 as free reward cards because I was also able to grab a couple of gift cards in their Facebook promo (my and hubby's FB accounts). Sadly, they do not have plus sized lingerie as I would love to give my friend one.

I was meaning to buy this pair of english riding boots before Winter but I think it would be practical to just wait until Winter is over. After all, I still have a couple of pair of boots which I can still use throughout the Winter season. I am just glad that as I age, I already have the sensibility and patience to wait for sales so I could save more shopping money and avail of better deals.

December is such a special month for my family, not only because it is Christmas time but it is also our wedding anniversary and this year, we are turning 8! I know that I can never have this kind of bedroom, not even in my wildest dreams. But yes, I do dream of having a lovely home with a cozy pool enough for my daily morning laps, hee hee! As if I am a strong swimmer. However, upon knowing how much maintenance one could do with a pool at home, think pool heat pump, pool cleaning services etc... etc..., I guess dear hubby and I better work so hard to get that dream house and dream pool.

My friend and I were just randomly comparing lifestyles and cost of living on our respective states and cities last week over the phone. I was so surprised at how expensive theater tickets are at their place considering their cost of living is pretty lower than ours. On the contrary, their lease is way way lower than what we are paying. But then all the other things can be bought online which will have the same price benchmark minus the tax which varies in each state. Just recently, we both needed some very hard to find Water Soluble Solder Paste but we ended up going to the same online site. We are both extremely happy that online shopping is there to rely on when there are stuff we could find in the nearest physical stores.

When we were in Boston, we had the chance to spend a day at a dear friend's home. Good thing they had a young boy, a few years older than DS . So we did not have to be disturbed by the kids as the adult catch up on food, wine and stories. When we got back home, DS could not stop raving about the name tags his kuya C made and of course, the simple but customized bedroom of kuya c. Now he wants a similar double decker bed which prompted me to find photos for inspiration.

I was having a very lazy weekend afternoon when I ended up browsing the net leisurely and then I chanced upon a very recent local news article which involves a mother who took part of this actos cancer Lawsuit. We are off to Boston tomorrow with 5 friends weee! Friends I have known more than 10 years already. Two of them I have not seen for 4 years now. Then, I am also going to meet some new-found friends on Sunday for a Lobster dinner, I cannot wait. While I assume it would be a tiring trip, I just cannot help but feel excited and visit a new State, #9 in our list :). Also, our hotel is not that big of a deal but I was told we are going to have a good view, similar to the one in the photo. In the meantime, I need to download this garmin golf gps software.

Well, I have seen it and was even fortunate enough to see more detailed photos because an old friend of mine posted those photos, you know why? She is a marketing employee of Google! Amazing, really. Now check out this photo. This is Facebook’s new 150,000-square-foot office at Palo Alto, California, USA. I am not aware that there are still people in our neighborhood who are using outdoor antennas. This I found out only after joining the community summer picnic last weekend. Speaking of Summer, I guess I had too much fun and summer heat that all I want to do for the rest of the Summer is to laze around at home, doing absolutely nothing except to read, watch tv and eat. It's that time of the year when DH and I would send a box of goodies for our families back home. It really feels good to surprise them with advance Christmas gifts that include random basic stuff such as samsung cell phone batteries. Because of the high volume of clients during this time, we had to make sure to send out the boxes for shipping at least 8 weeks before Christmas. I am glad that this year, we are way ahead of this schedule.

A few days ago, I posted in my twitter account that I vow and promise not to shop from October 1 up until January of 2012. I have shopped enough for this year and I must control my spending until I find a job. I wanted to save whatever income I have now. As I was checking my closet this afternoon, I realized that I have enough clothes, shoes and purses for Autumn and Winter. But then I realized too that I do not have enough leggings/stockings left. Boohoo! Now, I need to spend at least $7-14 dollars for my new stockings but I could not spend a single centavo for myself. Including in the vow, I mentioned that I could only shop for others and my food. Hmm, now I have no choice but to ask hubby to buy me the black leggings I saw at Urban Outfitters hee hee. Speaking of, I have a friend who has become a dealer of silver dollars at silvermorgan.com. She is one of those few people close to me here that I could ring whenever I feel like shopping. What I like about her is that she thought me what sensible shopping means. No wonder, I really love her bringing with me whenever I shop.

We had an early Halloween celebration yesterday.
Since the 31st falls on a Monday, I figured most of the celebrations will be held this weekend. I was having a bad hair day yesterday (probably because of too much scorching hot weather). Super bad! I ended up tying it in a knot and put on my headband. I guess my hair got really dry because of too much sun exposure during the weekend beach getaway. I badly need a hair makeover. Gah! I am missing my hairstylist back home. You see, I still have not found the right stylist for me here. I have yet to keep trying salons and stylists until I get to my perfect one. I hope I find one that studied in one of the cosmetology school under the Regency Beauty Institute because for sure I would be getting the right service if they got educated in a school and learned the tricks of the trade through a structured styling school.

Dear son has learned to read early on his pre-school years. When he reached Kindergarten, he was included in the accelerated reading program of his school. Because of his love for books and reading, we have accumulated too many children's books that our small bookshelf can only keep. I am having second thoughts on selling them nor giving them away because we are still planning on having baby #2 and she/he will make use of these books. I guess our place cannot accommodate an additional bookshelf more so, a set of wireless bookshelf speakers. So yes, your guess is as good as mine, I put them in the storage for the meantime.

One of my bestest friends has finalized her trip to the East Coast and we are going to celebrate our birthday together on a weekend getaway with family. She has booked her airfare and I have booked our hotels already. It is going to be a real fun reunion again after almost 4 years of not seeing each other. Now, hubby wants to drive 3 more hours and invite them to come over our house. There are still days when I wonder whether I should go back to my old passion and that is the world of Make-Up. When I look at random campaign ads, I could not help but reminisce my good old days, endless photo-shoots and creative discussions with stylists and photographers. Those days were such fun times. After weeks of looking for the perfect white sectional we finally settled with an Italian Leather couch in Forenza Red. However, a week before the delivery schedule, we visited another furniture shop after checking out engine driven pumps and guess what, we were able to snag an Italian leather sectional sofa in RED at such affordable price. Come August this year, I will celebrate my 7th year in blogging. It was in 2004 when I first started a blog in LiveJournal and friends T & P were so kind to help me set it up. Three years after, I began blogging with monetary benefits and have read as many seo consultant reviews just so I could boost up my blogs' page rank. Reaching this point, I do not really care about page ranks and visits anymore, moreso have time to bloghop :( due to busy schedule. I keep a good number of sites in my Google Reader for occasional blog reading but I rarely drop by and give comments anymore.

What I am saying here is yes, I have evolved in terms of blogging but as I get older in blogosphere, the more I share a little less. I guess more than just the busy schedule, it is Facebook that hinders most of my blogging friends from blogging like we used to as it would be easier to update everyone with a short liner status update. That or we value our privacy more this time.

I noticed over lunch how glowing DH's skin was, not only does it glows with youthfulness, his skin seems to be so clean as if he used blackhead remover. When I asked him, he gave me a sheepish smile. My older brothers have been consistently updating me about their marathons. I am just one proud sister. You see, it all started when my middle brother started to train for marathon and even if he had to wear knee braces at one time due to injury, he continued and has joined several marathons already. Now, our eldest brother got encouraged and he followed suit. The next thing we knew, me and dear hubby have been running everyday for at least 45 minutes. We are even considering on joining marathons here. Hmmm, running is really a good therapy, I tell you :).

I had the luxury of time to check and flip over pages of my magazine subscriptions. Currently, I finished Marie Claire's May issue whose cover were the girls of Something Borrowed: Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson. When I saw Kate Hudson, I was like, is she really pregnant??? Because there aren't traces of pregnancy at all! When I read the article, apparently, she only gained 15 lbs and she's already on her 6th month. She did not even buy nor wore any maternity clothes because this time she knows better. She said that after her first pregnancy where she gained 85 lbs, she swore not to gain more than 25 lbs on her next pregnancy and she did!

A week ago, we had to rush DS to a nearby hospital because of his alarming allergic reactions to Pecan nuts. It was weird though as when we reached the emergency section, all his hives were gone and he was A-Ok. But now we know that he can never ever take Pecan nuts, yes, only Pecan nuts. Geez, it truly is in the middle of Spring then the next thing we knew, it's Summer. I never leave the house without sunblock and just yesterday, I just saw our neighbors taking out their ATVs and big boats (which reminds me to check on this atv power steering). On the other hand, most of the kids in the neighborhood are always out either playing in the playground or biking around. Of course, my little boy is one them. No wonder he's sporting a super tanned complexion these days.

Movie Addict

My husband is a certified movie addict. He really is! Eversince I met him, all he ever wants to do on his free time was to watch DVDs, download movies using a 7-zip software, and of course, watch movies in theatre or movie channels on TV. No wonder he wants a DVD Ripper for his birthday and also this Blender Download. Recently, he has been watching movies on his laptop as DS has been taking over our TV in the bedroom. He actually doesn't watch TV shows. tsk tsk. That is how he is addicted to 'his' movies. You can just imagine the pile of unorganized DVDs that are scattered in our humble abode.

As I was finding ways to organize his DVD movie collection, since I really want to label each and every DVD per category, I chanced upon this site that offers free software downloads including Audacity Download, Amule Download and Ares Ultra. The site also has various programs that rips dvds to various video formats and it will do some editing. Now, I can start making my husband's DVD collection database with this software. Starting this Friday, DS will officially be on his Spring break! Now, I am expecting to hear "I'm Bored" more than I used to even if I have arranged a couple of playdates with his neighbor/classmate. The past 2 weeks was overwhelming. Projects needed to be launched at work, DS' school and soccer activities and other to dos in my plate which include to buy HGH! I guess I have 1001 things to do and they never stop. Although I have learned that amidst these busy schedules and stuff I need to juggle with 2 hands and a brain, slowing down is the key. When my laptop was going bonkers a few months ago, DH surprised me with a Purple netbook. I was complaining about it for weeks and he offered his desktop but I always want to work downstairs and his PC is upstairs. If you are an avid fan of Oprah like me, you should know about the Oprah Finale website where they make a countdown to Oprah's last show, which to date will be in 6 months and 3 days. I have been religiously watching her remaining shows and yesterday was all about welcoming spring with a camping. It was so beautiful that they even used bushnell binoculars during the camping spree. Anyway, sad as it may seem to be but after 25 years in airing, the Oprah show draws to a close on September 9, 2011. If you haven't been watching her last few episodes, you should, I have saved every episode in my DVR.

In fact, the stores and groceries I have visited these past few days have Kids Easter gifts on sale! I bet DS' class would have another celebration come Easter and I will be busy preparing for their loot bags as my contribution. Apart from these, he always joins the Easter celebration for kids at our Church and that should be funner. Oh well, this year is surely running so fast I cannot hardly cope up with it.

Quitting Now

A friend has been trying his very best to quit smoking. He had so many attempts but ends up going back to zero and starts smoking again. My favorite animal TV show is actually a cartoon. In fact, it is a series of cartoons. More accurately, it is a lifetime full of animatedminutes that star the hysterical Tweety Bird and Sylvester the Cat.

There was The Sylvester & Tweety Show in 1976 as well as The Sylvester & Tweety, Daffy & Speedy Show for 4 years in the early 80's, but it's really the totality of those shows, the shows that followed, and the individual skits that preceded them that I consider to be one big, wonderful program that I refer to as being my favorite animal program of all time.

The hours and hours of laughter and good times I've felt from watching these cartoons have left me with such positive feelings and good memories. What I love is that they are more than memories, because I can watch the cartoons on direct star tv all the time.

There really isn't anything educational to these cartoons; they were all done for the laughs. Tweety was a tiny little yellow bird who lived with a little old lady. His cage was often the prey for the woman's bird-hungry cat, Sylvester. He was never destined to win in the battle of cat versus bird, though.

The greatly exaggerated animal characters were voiced by the incredible Mel Blanc and began as Looney Toon characters.

Like what I have previously blogged, I am grateful for my mom's skin genes as I never had a serious case of acne in my entire 30 years of living. Pimples would grow during my adolescent years but they would miraculously disappear in a couple of days or even less. However, I noticed that when I overeat nuts, I would instantly have a zit in my forehead or nose and these zits are harder to heal. Oh well, at least I know what causes it. I guess I just have to control my nuts craving.

DH is the most excited about our big move. Of course, he would be able to decorate the new place again, one of his favorite things to do. He was even convincing me that we move a week before we leave for the Windy City but I begged off because of the conflicting schedule. On the other hand, he promised to allot one room for me, it will also double as our guest room. He knows I have been dreaming of my own room, different from the Master's so when I need to blog during the weekends and do some craft work, I have a quiet nook all for myself. I can imagine the room with an accent chair inspired by these photos and an few pop displays, and yes a nice long table when I can take out all my scrapping materials.

Oh boy I saw this photo at JustBeSplendid.tumblr.com and I can't help but miss my friend, V. We both have this thing for butterflies but she is more passionate on collecting items that has butterfly prints on them while I prefer floral prints, 5-petal flowers to be exact. I have to share this photo in her FB wall.

I wonder if there is a butterfly-shaped microphone?

I just arrived from my morning run. DH did not join me because he was too busy researching on Sferra. Despite the colder weather, there are a lot of people playing in the park, running along the colored trees and simply lounging in their balconies and patios. What struck me was this beautiful old couple who was walking hand in hand all bundled up. Truly made my day!
